I am Ida Nyström, a Swedish nurse turned somatic coach. I help high-achieving women settle their nervous systems so they can lead, build, and live without burning out. I spent ten years in intensive care watching women pour from empty cups. Then I became one of them.
I grew up in Umeå, up in northern Sweden, where winters are long and dark and nobody pretends otherwise.
My grandmother was a midwife. My mother worked as a physiotherapist. Most family dinners turned into conversations about the body, stress, and what actually helps people feel better. I did not know it then, but I was already being trained for the work I do now.
I trained as a registered nurse in Stockholm and spent almost ten years in intensive care and women's health. I watched strong, capable women fall apart under pressure nobody had taught them how to carry. I thought I was different. I was not.
At 34, between night shifts and a side project I was trying to get off the ground, I burned out. I took six months off.
My body had basically forgotten how to rest, and I had no idea who I was without doing. That period became the foundation for everything I do now. I went back to school for somatic therapy, breathwork, and functional nutrition. In 2019, I started my studio with one simple idea. You cannot heal a body that never feels safe.Since then, I have guided over 600 women through my programs, spoken on stages across Scandinavia, and consulted for wellness and healthcare brands from Copenhagen to Oslo.

❇︎ Rest is not a reward. It is a requirement.
❇︎ Boundaries are biology, not personality.
❇︎ You do not need more discipline. You need a nervous system that feels safe.
❇︎ Slow is not the opposite of ambitious. It is how ambition lasts.
Healing happens in the body first.
Everything else follows.
